With 4 of Australia's best golf courses within easy reach of each other, Tasmania's Barnbougle & King Island have fast become Australia's hottest golfing destinations.
Both of these Tasmanian locations offer delightful non-golf attractions: King Island is renowned for its production of cheese and its fresh seafood, most notably the crayfish; and mainland Tasmania is the home to many well-known wineries, prestigious Chef-hatted restaurants and some incredibly beautiful nature reserves and national parks.
There are multiple options for getting to and from King Island and Barnbougle, including on both scheduled commercial flights and on chartered flights.
Following are a few suggested itineraries for your next Barnbougle and/or King Island golf trip. These are unescorted, private travel packages and can be booked for any time of year based on availability.
Please note that we specialise in groups of 8 and above and while the prices below are based on a group of 16 people travelling together (as that is the ideal number to maximise cost-effectiveness for charter flights) packages can be tailored to suit groups of any size on either charter or commercial flights.
Kindly note that these are indicative starting prices only and prices may be higher depending on the time of year you wish to travel.
Flights included in the itineraries below are in-and-out of Melbourne, however we can certainly include additional interstate flights with your booking, should you wish, once we know where you are travelling from.

Day 1: Arrive In King Island, Tasmania
Cape Wickham Resort & Golf Course
Upon arrival, meet your friendly Tour Director from Allstar Tours.
Board your luxury coach and travel along the rugged beauty of the island. King Island is known for its great dairy products, mostly flat landscape with a rocky western shoreline, and being home to many shipwrecks.
The Cape Wickham Resort offers a variety of room options and sits on Victoria Cove — perfect for a refreshing morning dip. The rooms overlook the Cape Wickham lighthouse and the wild ocean.
The resort features a 12-hole putting green available at all times. Caddies and buggies are also available.
This afternoon, play at the Cape Wickham Golf Course, one of Australia’s best-kept secrets. Surrounded by dramatic coastal scenery on King Island’s northeastern tip, this course offers a unique and exhilarating golfing experience, set amongst wild and breathtaking landscapes.
Welcome Dinner tonight at the Wickham Restaurant, specialising in King Island crayfish, rack of lamb, fresh Tasmanian salmon, and local cheeses.
Day 2: Ocean Dunes Golf Course
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the Ocean Dunes Golf Course.
The Ocean Dunes course, rated as Australia’s 4th best course in Golf Digest 2024, is carved into rolling dunes along 2 kilometres of coastline. It provides an unforgettable, world-class experience with unsurpassed 360-degree ocean views.
Its perfectly crafted greens blend seamlessly with the island’s rugged beauty, making this course an adventure, a challenge, and a destination you’ll want to return to.
Free time this evening to relax or explore at your own pace.
